This Sunday, May 8, is Mother’s Day. Which means it is time to celebrate the first woman in your life. How do you repay her for all she’s done? For a lot of us, that may be a bill that can never be paid off, but taking her out to brunch is a good place to start. Eat great food, sip on a cocktail and spend quality time with the person who raised you – because that is likely all she wants to do!

Metro Detroit celebrates mothers by offering great brunch menus and buffets. Listed below are a few options you may want to consider:

The Bird & The Bread

Birmingham’s wine bar, tap room and seasonal kitchen will host a Mother’s Day brunch buffet on Sunday. It will consist of several stations: cold, hot, carving and egg/waffle. Items on the menu include waffles, a salad bar, bacon, Peppercorn Crusted Tenderloin, Roasted Turkey Breast, Asiago Gnocchi and much more. The buffet costs $40 for adults, $20 for children ages 10 and under and $5 for children ages 5 and under.

Sweet Lorraine’s Café & Bar

Sweet Lorraine’s Livonia location will once again offer a brunch buffet for the occasion. This year’s event takes place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Patrons can expect a roast beef carving station, shrimp, salad, various omelets and more. The cost is $42 for adults, $15 for children and those little tikes ages 5 and under are complimentary. It will fill up quickly; make sure to make a reservation!

With best-in-class cargo space, top of the line safety features, and cutting edge technology, the Chevy Suburban is perfect for any family. See the Suburban's available features that can keep up with your family's lifestyle.

Fiamma Grille

I highly recommended the Mother’s Day brunch menu here, I know from experience, dude. This year it is available from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Plymouth. You are given three to four choices for each of the four courses, with the main course offering Woodland Tenderloin Tips, Spring Pasta Primavera, Toasted Macadamia nut Encrusted Mahi or Lamb Sheppard’s Pie. The meal costs $32 for adults. Children can enjoy a separate menu for $11 each.

While there are far too many brunch options to list, here are a few more restaurants you may want to check out:

Beau’s (Bloomfield Hills)

Forest Grill (Birmingham)

5ive Restaurant (Plymouth)

Cliff Bell’s (Detroit)

J. Baldwin’s Restaurant (Clinton Township)

You have plenty of opportunities to make your mom feel special on Mother’s Day. If possible, be sure to do so. After all, it is the thought and effort that counts most!
